The piece

Marina is Sangre de Mar's most versatile everyday silhouette. The body is full-grain pebbled leather in deep black — structured enough to stand on its own, soft enough to move with you. The form is deliberately minimal: no logos shouting, no excess hardware. Just proportion, material, and the gold "SANGRE DE MAR" mark pressed quietly at the base.

The two-way carry

Marina comes with a detachable leather crossbody strap and a separate short shoulder handle, both joining the body through polished gold lobster clasps. Wear it long and hands-free through the city, or clip on the short handle for a cleaner shoulder bag at dinner. One bag, two registers — morning meeting to evening out.

The leather

Designed in Vancouver and handcrafted in Mexico from full-grain leather sourced from the tannery that has supplied the Sangre de Mar workshop since the brand began. Full-grain is the strongest, longest-wearing grade — it reveals natural texture and depth and only improves with time, softening and deepening in tone over years of daily carry. The subtle gold hardware adds a quiet contrast that keeps the focus on material, proportion, and movement.

Care

Pebbled full-grain leather develops a soft patina with wear — this is what makes it yours. Wipe with a dry cloth, treat with a neutral leather conditioner once a season, and avoid direct heat and prolonged rain. The gold hardware and the leather will both deepen with time.
